Are you ready to discover a new type of farming, rather different from anything you’ve tried before? Then welcome to Slime Rancher 2022! Here you won’t be growing vegetables or crops, you won’t need agricultural equipment and new types of seeds. You won’t even breed cows or chicken. Well, the latter you will, but not to get eggs or meat. You will be feeding them to slimes! Yes, in this game your rancho will be home to all kinds of slimes that produce valuable crystals. Will you be able to make it prosper? Let’s see!

Start with the pink ones!

Like in any farming game, here you will deal with several species of slimes. The first type is pink slimes. They are perfect to start with. You can find them in great quantities and they are not too picky about food (on that later). However, the crystals they produce are rather cheap and you’ll have to accommodate quite a lot of them on your rancho to end up with more or less decent income. By the way, if there are too many slimes living on the farm, they might feel cramped for space and start to run away. So keep an eye on your charges and expand your rancho at the first possibility to make it spacious enough for everyone!

Add blue, violet and breed them to get new slime species!

As you increase your funds and explore more of the adjacent territories, you’ll get access to blue and violet slimes. Their crystals are already more expensive, and you don’t need to keep as many of them to profit. And most importantly – you’ll be able to interbreed different kinds of slimes to get so-called largos capable of producing two crystals at a time (one of each type). And if you give him his favorite food, you can even get four! The interbreeding is done by giving a crystal of another slime species to the slime you want to upgrade.

But make sure you don’t do it more than once because then the slime will turn into a very dangerous carnivore capable of eating not only chicken, but also other slimes as well as humans. If you made this bitter mistakes, you must know three ways of dealing with it. Pouring large amounts of water on it, throwing it into ‘the sea of slime’ or burning the monster in the incinerator will do the trick. By the way, these like hacks will also come in handy if you venture out at night because it’s the time when the area is crawling with such carnivorous slimes and it will be reasonable to have some kind of a weapon against them with you.
